Our hearts are with the families of Harper and Fletcher, the Annunciation community, and everyone impacted by the horrors of the school shooting on this painful first anniversary.

Today, we remember Harper and Fletcher for the light and joy they brought into this world, and honor them by carrying that light forward through acts of service.

Serve a neighbor. Support a local organization. Care for your community. Find a meaningful way to bring a little more joy and hope into the world in their honor.

And as the Annunciation community has reminded us over the past year: when you pray, move your feet.

Turn love and hope into action as we all recommit to working together to build a safer, kinder world for our kids and find a better path forward.

Happy first day of the Minnesota State Fair to all who celebrate!

I’ll be there Wednesday for DFL activities, food, and the llama costume contest, because obviously that’s one of the greatest traditions the State Fair has to offer. 🦙

So, in the meantime, a little Throwback Thursday to the time I won BIG at the Midway.

Thank you to the North Metro Mayors Association for hosting tonight’s District 43A candidate forum, and to New Hope Mayor John Elder for being an excellent moderator!

From affordability and the other issues we hear about every day from our neighbors, to transit, business and workforce growth, it was an important conversation about what Crystal and New Hope need to thrive.

Throughout my career, I’ve proudly worked alongside educators to fight for strong, inclusive public schools, the freedom to read and learn, and local leaders who trust and support the people doing the work in our classrooms every day.

That’s why this endorsement is particularly meaningful to me. I’m honored to announce that we’ve earned the support of Education Minnesota and the trust of educators across our state!

As we look ahead to another school year, Minnesota educators are getting ready to welcome students back. They deserve the resources, respect, and support they need to help every student learn and thrive.

I often say that the future we choose for our public schools is the future we choose for our communities. I believe that to my core.
