Sadly, after 26 years, the Jeffco Mediation program is closing its doors do to budget issues. Fortunately the company that has managed the program for several years, OvalOptions for Conflict Management, has developed programs to continue to serve citizens and train mediators.

We want to express sincere appreciation for all of our partner agencies including Jefferson County, Colorado, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Jeffco Public Schools - Colorado, Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, Jefferson County Human Services, Jefferson County Child Support, Jefferson County Courts and Administration Building, Wheat Ridge Police Department, Lakewood Police Department, Golden Police Department, Jeffco Open Space, CO, and many, many others.

The Colorado Conflict Clinic is a state-wide, online mediation service. It helps parties reach agreements and settlements for civil disputes outside of backlogged courts, or even before cases are filed. For a low fee, the CCC can schedule your 2-hour mediation within a month.

Jefferson County Board of Commissioners Directs a Closure of County Offices

As the COVID-19, or Coronavirus, becomes more widespread, the Board of County Commissioners has directed the closure of all county offices to the public, effective today, March 16, with the exception of the courts and those services related to law enforcement and limited human services. All Board of County Commissioner hearings and briefings will be continued/postponed until further notice due to this building closure. This is a preliminary action in advance of state direction and that of Jefferson County Public Health: https://www.jeffco.us/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1133

▪️ First Judicial District Courts (Jeffco/Gilpin) are closed Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18. There will be a long-term announcement made on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 18. If you are scheduled for a court appearance, please plan to appear unless you have been notified otherwise.
