Golden City Hall and the Utility Department will be closed Monday May 25th, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day. Golden City Hall will reopen at 8 AM Tuesday May 26th, 2026.

‼️The Boil Water notice has been lifted for CR 961 and CR 19.

💧The Town of Golden is experiencing a water main break down CR 961 and CR 19.
⚠️Expect low water pressure until the issue is resolved in the next couple of hours. IF you loose water pressure please boil your water and check back here for any updates.

🗑️ All garbage cans have now been distributed for all Belmont & Golden city limits garbage customers.

If you did not receive a can, please call Belmont City Hall at 662-454-3381 for assistance.

If you need to order an additional can, please visit www.cityofbelmontms.com, go to Utilities, and scroll down to Order Extra Trash Bin.

A special thank you to our Public Works team for taking on the extra workload of distributing cans while continuing their regular duties and working to make our garbage collection process more efficient.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we continue improving service for our community.

‼️Update: Water was restored to everyone listed below. There will also be under a boil water notice in effect until further notice. This is ONLY for CR 961 West of Fairview church and CR 19!

⚠️ Attention all Town of Golden City Residents:
If you pay for city garbage each month please be looking for your new garbage can this week. We are following all requirements on placement and pickup as noted on your sheet attached to the garbage can from Belmont. Please follow all directions for a smooth transition to using the new garbage cans. We have Belmont contracted to pick up our garbage as outsourcing it to a company would put a much more financial burden on you as our customers.
‼️ All old garbage cans and bins must be removed from the right away once your new garbage can is placed at your residence.

⚠️ Hopkins Street and Stanphill Street will be closed for several hours in the morning as the Town of Golden has deemed a parcel of property unsafe and the cleanup process begins.
There will also be a controlled burn on the property located off Stanphill Street tomorrow morning.

TOMORROW AT 12 NOON
Join us at Golden City Hall for the National Day of Prayer, held at the flagpole at Golden City Hall weather permitting. If it is raining or poor weather conditions are present the National Day of Prayer will be held inside City Hall.

We invite all who are able to attend to come together in prayer for our nation, our leaders, and our community.

Golden City Limit customers this is what you will be receiving in the near future.

🗑️ Belmont & Golden Garbage Customers: If your new trash can has been delivered, please begin using it.

If your can has not been delivered yet, please know our crews are continuing to work on deliveries in between garbage days to get all cans out as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work through the full rollout.
