September is Attendance Awareness Month, and Jeffco is showing up.

Did you know that missing just 2 days a month adds up to nearly 10% of the school year? That's the tipping point researchers call chronic absenteeism, and it affects a student's skills, connection, and learning. Starting strong makes the difference. If something's making attendance hard, reach out to your school. We want to help.

At Thursday's regular meeting, the Jeffco Board of Education approved a resolution to ask voters to consider a $73 million mill levy override and a $60 million special purpose mill this November.

Together, they'd help fund everything from teacher salaries and classroom supplies to school construction, technology, and maintenance across our district.

We know funding measures can be confusing, so we made a video walking through what's being asked, why, and what it means for your schools.
