Hopkins house between Columbia and Grant, south of the red house. Built in the 1870-1880’s? The Hopkins were Charles Newell’s step father and mother. Their ranch was eventually bought by Franklin Miller’s mother.
The photo is circa 1911. By the 30’s this house was abandoned and severely neglected. A fate destined for the red house if it wasn’t for Franklin Miller.

The 3rd annual Goldendale June Blooms garden tour is this Saturday, June 1st. 11am-3pm. Tour the Red House garden and 7 other wonderful Goldendale gardens.

Free maps are available on the day of the tour at the presby museum.

Also the Soroptimist plant sale is on the same day at the corner of W Main and Columbia. 9am-2pm.
