Happy Birthday to Eileen Filler! 🎉
Last August, Eileen celebrated an incredible milestone — 50 years in Emergency Medical Services. She made history as the first female paramedic in Oregon, helping pave the way for women in EMS across the region.
Many of us in Klickitat County had the privilege of working alongside Eileen for years, and she continues to serve those in our community and beyond with Life Flight Network
Eileen is featured in the YouTube video Endlessly Persistent: A Story of America’s First Female Paramedics, and appears in the documentary The Rose City Experiment, available on Amazon. The film shares the story of the development of modern EMS in Portland, told by the women and men who helped build it.
We are grateful for Eileen’s dedication and the lasting impact she has made on our profession and community!
