Meet Reggie Davis, the face of Grantham and a long time member of our department. (He also keeps us fed once a month, and no, you can't have him)

Through a life of service, social events, and many many many hours over a grill, Reggie's hips are in pretty rough shape. With this bump in the road, Reggie has been in and out of the doctor's office or at home resting. He's not been able to work, run fire calls, feed us on maintenance night, or participate with Smoke Dawgs Chillin and Grilling.

Several in the community and in the fire department decided to support the effort in raising money for Reggie, to help get him through, until he can literally get back on his feet.

To start, a raffle will be held, to give Reggie some help now, with a benefit dinner coming later.

Please join us in supporting the Reggie Davis Benefit to help Reggie, who has helped us all so, so much.

📢ATTENTION PROPERTY OWNERS of GRANTHAM📢

Over the next weeks, all real property owners in our fire district will be receiving a letter like the one below.

Upon careful consideration, the Board of Directors decided to hold a special fundraising campaign to help offset the cost of our new fire engine (more details soon) that is currently in production.

This new truck will take the roll of our first out engine, replacing our current Engine 4, which has provided over 20 years of faithful service to our community and beyond.

If you're so led to assist in this exciting endeavor, know that your donation will be part of this community for another 20 years, we hope!

As always, thank y'all for the support, we couldn't do what we do without each and everyone of you.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We will be more than glad to discuss things further.

Thanks!

We celebrate July 4th on the 5th in Grantham, because it took a day for the news to get all the way here.

We made that up, but we were there to help send 250 years off with a bang.

God Bless America and God Bless Grantham.

Some of our members got to go today to Smith Chapel Volunteer Fire Department for a live burn. These trainings are great opportunities for fireman to get to make runs under live fire to work on their skills for when responding to structure fires. Its also great opportunity to have these evolutions in an acquired structure. That makes it about as real as it gets. We want to thank everyone at Smith Chapel for the hospitality and great lunch as well as for the invite today. Most importantly we want to thank the live burn instructors for taking their time out on a Saturday and sharing their knowledge with us to perfect this craft. And WCC for giving these opportunities to the departments in our county to train and better serve our communities.

Great turn out from Smith Chapel VFD, Grantham VFD, Jordans Chapel VFD, Mount Olive VFD, Thoroughfare VFD, and Calypso VFD

Back in March, we were dispatched to assist EMS in reference to Mrs. Maureen and a traumatic injury to her legs

Everything fell in place, from EMS and us, to the doctors and medical staff on the backside.

Through this teamwork, Mrs. Maureen's determination, and the blessings of God, Mrs. Maureen and her husband Jeff, were able to walk in our station tonight, provide us supper, and show their sincere appreciation to our crew.

This is what it's all about!

April we ran right many calls to our neighboring departments. We did have one working structure fire in district. Also the month of April our training was geared towards vehicle stabilization and extraction. Our members were able to get hands on training with our tools that are utilized in these situations and able to get to practice real life scenarios on some vehicles. We train on this regularly so our members can stay sharp on skills to better serve the community when the need arises.
