Last night we es**rted the Rosewood High Baseball Team back to the school from the county line after they won the state championship for the first time! Congratulations to the guys and coaches! We are very proud of all of you! 💜💛

After getting no-hit in Game One Wednesday and falling 4-0 to Cherryville, Rosewood was down 5-0 early this afternoon in Game 2.

But the young men in purple and gold refused to quit and made a remarkable comeback to tie the NCHSAA State Championship series 1-1 with a 6-5 victory.

WOW!

The winner-takes-all Game 3 is at 5 p.m. and will decide who hoists the state title trophy!

Good luck to the Rosewood High baseball team as they compete in the state championship! We were unable to be part of the es**rt due to a call but Oakland was still able to assist with it. Thank you to Oakland Fire!

Delayed Postings:

On May 9th, members of the department attended the Touch A Truck event at the Wayne County Fair Grounds and brought along Sparky! Sparky even spent a few minutes in the jail trailer.

On May 12, members of the department had their weekly training meeting. This one in particular was a little more special since 10 of our members made the decision to get baptized!
