Breaking News! We are thrilled to share some incredible news from the national stage. Dos Pueblos High School senior Micah Barnhart has been named the 2026 Student Television Network (STN) Broadcast Student of the Year, one of the highest individual honors in scholastic broadcast journalism and media production.

The Student Television Network is the nation's premier organization for high school broadcast journalism, film, and digital media programs. Each year, schools from across the United States submit their top student journalists, broadcasters, filmmakers, and storytellers for consideration. After a rigorous portfolio review process, only one student is selected as the national Broadcast Student of the Year.

This award recognizes far more than a single project or broadcast. Judges evaluate a student's complete body of work, including storytelling, technical skills, leadership, service to their program, professionalism, creativity, and impact on their school community.

Micah now joins an extraordinary group of national winners spanning more than two decades! Please join us in congratulating Micah on this national recognition!💙💛

It's been a banner year for Charger athletics with two CIF championship teams, and lots of individual records -- and that was evident at the end of year athletic celebration hosted by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table where DPHS students earned 15 athlete-of-the-year awards - the most of any high school! Way to go Charger Athletics! And thank you to all our local media for your excellent coverage all year!
