May is Mental Health Month — a time to raise awareness, encourage support, and remind one another that mental health is just as important as physical health. Stress, anxiety, burnout, and emotional fatigue can affect anyone, and it is important that we take time to care for ourselves and those around us.

Please take a moment to review the following mental health and wellness tips:

• Prioritize sleep and rest
• Stay connected with supportive family and friends
• Take breaks and manage stress in healthy ways
• Exercise or spend time outdoors
• Limit negative media and social media overload
• Practice gratitude and self-care
• Reach out for help when needed

Remember:

It’s okay to not be okay.
Asking for help is a sign of strength.
Your mental health matters.
Signs that someone may need additional support can include:
• Feeling overwhelmed or hopeless
• Increased anxiety or sadness
• Changes in sleep or appetite
• Difficulty concentrating
• Withdrawing from others

If you or someone you know is struggling, resources are available:

Additional Resources:
• National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) – https://www.nami.org

• CDC Mental Health Resources – https://www.cdc.gov/mentalhealth

Let us continue to support one another, show kindness, and create an environment where people feel safe speaking openly about mental health. Small acts of compassion can make a tremendous difference.

Take care of yourselves and each other.
