🐢🔬 Calling all Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors!

Join us on June 22 at Nicholls State University for a behind-the-scenes STEM field trip exploring biology, conservation, and scientific research. Girls will tour the campus and visit the lab of Dr. Timothy Clay, Associate Professor of Biological Sciences.

Learn how researchers are helping protect Louisiana's coastal ecosystems through their work with Diamondback Terrapins—an important turtle species found along our coast. You'll discover how science, research, and outreach are making a real difference for wildlife conservation.

Some Girl Scouts lead by example. Others lead by making sure no one gets left behind.
This month, we are proud to recognize Girl Scout Brooklyn for the compassion, leadership, and inclusion she demonstrates every day.

While actively working toward her Gold Award and embracing her own Girl Scout journey, Brooklyn goes above and beyond to ensure every girl in her troop feels valued, included, and empowered to participate. Whether she's helping girls feel comfortable in new environments, taking them fishing in a canoe, or making sure they have the opportunity to proudly stand at the front of a ceremony holding flags, Brooklyn creates opportunities for others to shine.

What makes Brooklyn's leadership so special is her understanding that inclusion isn't about creating separate experiences—it's about creating belonging. She thoughtfully adapts to each girl's needs while ensuring everyone can experience the adventures, traditions, and confidence-building moments that make Girl Scouts unforgettable.

With support from Delaune’s Supermarket and generous shoppers, the girls collected 10 large boxes of nonperishable food for the First United Methodist Church food pantry to help neighbors facing food insecurity.
