The residents and businesses will be served by LRS (Lakeshore Recycling Services) out of Rochester for the next five years. The change over will not take effect until September 1st. NOTHING WILL CHANGE BEFORE THIS DAY. Detailed information will be in your August utility bill.

Pearson Brothers will be in town Tuesday July, 14th at 7:00am to perform chip sealing.

Please no parking on the following streets listed below.
1. Broadway from 4th Ave. to the north end.
2. 4th street from 3rd Ave. to 4th Ave.
3. 2nd Ave from 5th street to 6th street.
4. Broadway from County 9 Blvd. to Viola Ave.
5. Viola Ave to the west end.

Once the work is completed parking can resume.

NOTICE OF FILING DATES
MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATES

NOTICE is hereby given that Candidates can file Affidavits of Candidacy for the office of Mayor and three Council members beginning at 8:00 AM on July 14, 2026, in the office of the City Clerk, City of Goodhue, 405 N Broadway, Goodhue, Minnesota. The last day on which affidavits may be filed is July 28, 2026, until 5:00 PM. Filing fee: $2.00. Candidates may withdraw up until 5:00 PM on July 30, 2026.

The offices for which Affidavits of Candidacy can be filed are those of three Council Members and Mayor for the City of Goodhue. Two Council Members elected for regular four-year terms, one Council Member for a special 2-year term and Mayor for a two-year term.

Elections will be held on November 3, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Goodhue Community Center/Lions Building at 105 Broadway St. Goodhue MN 55027.

****** Chip Seal Update ******
Pearson Brothers had a major breakdown on a piece of equipment. With this breakdown and the chance of rain this afternoon and tomorrow, chip seal maintenance has been postponed until a later date.

Parking can resume until further notice is posted. The contractor will install signs and update the city when work is scheduled to resume.

Pearson Brothers will be in town Tuesday June, 30th to perform chip sealing.

Chip Sealing is a form of street maintenance that involves laying down hot oil and small rock to help seal the cracks in streets. This process also helps extend the life expectancy of our streets.

The streets where the work will take place are as follows.
1. Broadway St. North from 4th Ave. continuing north to the dead end.
2. Broadway St. South from County 9 to Viola Ln. and Viola Ln. to Manor Ave.
3. Second Ave from 5th Street North to 6th Street North.
4. 4th. N St. from 3rd. Ave. to 4th. Ave.

Please refrain from parking on these streets, and use caution around crews until the work is completed.
