Weโ€™re excited to share that TN Voices has been selected to launch an innovative new pilot supporting young adults transitioning out of foster care in Tennessee. ๐Ÿ

Through the Reconstruct Thriving Youth Challenge, TN Voices will partner with Lumen Flats to provide a first-of-its-kind model that combines:
โœจ Trauma-informed therapyโ€จโœจ Certified peer mentors with lived experienceโ€จโœจ Digital wellness tools and real-time supportโ€จโœจ Safe, supportive transitional housing

This pilot is designed to create a community where youth can heal, grow, and build a future on their own terms. Weโ€™re working to ensure that no young person leaves care without someone to call, tools to use, or hope for whatโ€™s next!

Whatโ€™s next for this project? TN Voices has open positions supporting the young people at Lumen Flats โ€” including a Therapist for Transition Age Youth and Certified Young Adult Peer Support

Thank you to the TN Office of Faith Based Initiatives and Elmington Elevates for making this work possible.

Voices in Bloom was one night, but the heroes at TN Voices can impact a lifetime.

Last month our staff stepped up to share the stories behind our mission: A dad who never gave up, even in crisis. A teen who found peace and safety with her grandfather. A grandmother hospitalized for over 20 years who finally found freedom in our supportive housing.

Our Fund our Cause campaign is still going. Will you help us write more stories like these? ๐Ÿ”— https://secure.qgiv.com/for/fundourcause2026

Tennessee just made history.

The HOPE Treatment Act passed in the Tennessee House and Senate and is now headed to the governorโ€™s desk. This bill clears the way for ibogaine clinical trials in TN and opens a new door for veterans seeking treatment for PTSD and addiction. TN Voices is proud to be a champion of bold, innovative solutions to bring healing to those in need.

Today, the Trump administration issued an executive order directing federal agencies to expedite research and access to psychedelic therapies, including ibogaine, for serious mental illness. Veterans are named as a priority population.

This is a pivotal moment for Tennessee. The Tennessee Senate has already passed the HOPE Treatment Act (HB 2075 / SB 2149), which authorizes our research institutions to participate in FDA-supervised ibogaine clinical trials and multistate consortium. The House now has the opportunity to act.

"Today's executive order makes passage of the HOPE Treatment Act more essential, not less." โ€” Rikki Harris, CEO of TN Voices

The federal government is allocating funds and offering fast-track designations for qualifying psychedelic therapies. Tennessee's hospitals and research institutions can participate, but only with the state-law foundation that the HOPE Treatment Act provides.

The Senate has done its part. We urge the House to do the same before the close of the current legislative session.

๐Ÿ“ต Beyond the Screen Challenge

During Children's Mental Health Action Week (May 3โ€“9), we're inviting teens across Tennessee to make a meaningful pledge: step away from the screens, pay attention to how they feel, and share what they learn.

Here's how it works:
๐Ÿ”น Choose your pledge โ€” social media, gaming, streaming, or a full detox
๐Ÿ”น Complete the full week (May 3โ€“9)
๐Ÿ”น Submit a short reflection (150โ€“200 words or a max 3-minute video) by May 10

Every teen who completes the challenge earns a $10 gift card, and the most meaningful reflections win up to $200.

Know a teen who could use a screen break? Tag them below or share this with a parent, school, or youth group in your network. ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ“ Register by May 1 at tnvoices.org/beyond-the-screen or the link in our bio

Great news: The HOPE Treatment Act passed in both Senate and House committees last week!

We hosted a press conference that brought together personal testimony, mental health expertise, and legislative champions. The results were powerful.

We will continue advocating to bring hope to veterans and those struggling with opioid use disorder.

Tennessee, itโ€™s time to lead the nation in solutions, not statistics.
