Our Youth & Family Support team put together these essential tips to help teens stay protected, make smart decisions, and know when to ask for help.

“I’m feeling a bit emotional today. My child just graduated from the Healthy Families Program at TN Voices, the same program I joined when I was young and pregnant with them.

Back then, a friend told me about a baby shower for new moms happening nearby. I was scared out of my mind and almost didn’t go. But that’s how I found TN Voices.

I met my Family Support Specialist, what a wonderful woman she is. She held my hand through the rest of my pregnancy and gave me the confidence to know I could raise my child on my own. She let me rant for hours when I needed to, and she showed up for my child and me again and again, helping me set goals and then set new ones once I reached them.

I got emotional at graduation and cried in front of strangers. Watching my child grow, I keep thinking about how much our lives have changed. I was young, pregnant, and scared. Now I have a career in education, and I’m surrounded by a village that loves and supports us.

If you’re a parent out there who’s unsure and needs help, that’s okay. I’ll be part of your support system, and so will TN Voices. You don’t have to do it alone. Reach out for help.”

Independence looks different for everyone. For some, it starts with a safe place to call home.

Through our Adult Services programs, we help adults move from institutional care into safe, supportive housing in the community, pairing psychiatric and case management services with practical life-skills development.

Our team has seen what drives real progress: relationship-based care, community integration, life skills development, and client healing. The result? Greater independence, stronger community connections, and renewed hope.

As mental health needs continue to rise across Tennessee, 19.6% of adults now report poor mental health 14+ days a month, up from 15.8% in 2019, this kind of long-term, wraparound support is more needed than ever.

Real recovery takes time. We’re here for the long haul.

Meet the team behind TN Voices Outpatient Services. 👋

Next up: the front desk and intake team who are often the very first voice a family hears.

Before a client ever meets their therapist, our support staff are already doing the work, answering that first call, making people feel welcome, and helping them feel confident that they’re in the right place.

They create trust from the very first conversation and make sure those seeking help know they are not alone.

We’re proud of the work they do. 💚
