Big moves happening behind the scenes! 💻🚀

Today, the TN NORML crew locked in for a high-level strategic Zoom session with the national powerhouse Ma*****na Policy Project (MPP).

Why does this partnership matter? Because passing real cannabis reform in Tennessee requires two things: raw grassroots dedication and national-level resources. By combining forces with MPP, we are building a roadmap for the upcoming 2026 elections.

With major state leadership seats on the ballot this fall, this is our moment to educate voters and back candidates who actually listen to the 81% of Tennesseans who support medical cannabis.

We’re organizing. We’re strategizing. We’re ready. Let's get to work. 🔥

To quote Nick Beres NC5 " "I personally know several ill Tennesseans whose only effective pain relief comes from ma*****na. It may be illegal in Tennessee, but that’s not stopping anyone who needs it and is determined to get it. They just take their money out of state. I simply don’t understand it.

WHILE TENNESSEE LAWMAKERS CONTINUE TO FURTHER RESTRICT CANNABIS PRODUCTS, KENTUCKY MOVES IN THE OTHER DIRECTION TO HELP MORE PEOPLE.
More of those in the Blue Grass state will now be able to qualify for medical cannabis.
This week Gov. Andy Beshear signed an executive order to issue an emergency regulation clarify qualifying conditions for medical cannabis in Kentucky law.
This now means an additional fifteen
medical conditions will be recognized, including the following:
Sickle cell anemia
ALS
Crohn’s disease
Parkinson’s disease
Terminal illness
HIV
AIDS
Huntington’s Disease
Muscular dystrophy
Cachexia or wasting syndrome
Ulcerative colitis
Neurophathies
Severe arthritis
Fibromyalgia
Glaucoma
“The law is meant to provide a safe alternative form of pain relief for Kentuckians suffering, yet the law’s lack of clarity prevented too many people from receiving help. This step makes the law more clear,” said Gov. Beshear.
Makes sense doesn’t it?
A little over three years ago Gov. Beshear signed Senate Bill 47, legalizing medical cannabis for Kentuckians beginning Jan. 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, medical ma*****na remains illegal in Tennessee … and lawmakers are passing further restrictions.
But, hey, for pain in the Volunteer State you can get legal opioids.
Here’s the truth: Any lawmaker who thinks ma*****na is more dangerous than an opioid is an idiot.
I personally know several ill Tennesseans whose only effective pain relief comes from ma*****na.
It may be illegal in Tennessee, but that’s not stopping anyone who needs it and is determined to get it.
They just take their money out of state.
I simply don’t understand it.

June 1....and the countdown has officially started. A regulation that threatens 75% of our state's h**p industry and strips away access to safe, compliant flower is just one month away. This ban doesn't just impact businesses; it impacts everyday people who rely on quality-tested, safe products.

So, what will you do?

Are you going to sit back, or are you join us in the fight to legalize and protect our industry? The future of reform depends on what we do right now.

THE OLDER CROWD IS SMOKING MORE POT.
Use of ma*****na is increasing with seniors according to a new study.
ABC4 reports cannabis use among adults over 60 is increasing faster than any other demographic in this country.
Hey, we knew fewer people — especially the younger crowd — are drinking less alcohol with many opting for pot-infused drinks.
But now the 60 and over demographic is using cannabis to find more effective or non-pharmaceutical options to manage sleep, pain, or mental health.
And many people within this age range are coming to use cannabis through word of mouth rather than health care providers.
According to the study most say they just want a better quality of life, reducing their pain, getting better sleep, and being able to enjoy time with family and friends a little bit more.
This should come as absolutely no surprise — especially as more states legalize ma*****na.
It remains illegal in Tennessee.
But here is the reality: That doesn’t appear to be stopping anyone here or anywhere else.

We have been contacted by a National advocacy group, Ma*****na Policy Project, looking for the following:

Any patient in TN that currently uses the legal 0.9% THsee oil.

By combining our local grassroots network with MPP’s national advocacy power, we are gathering the real-world stories needed to push lawmakers toward a true, patient-focused medical cannabis program.

Are you or a loved one currently using 0.9% THsee oil in TN? DM us or reach out to help us fight for real change.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the incredible sacrifices made by Tennessee’s service members who never made it home. As we remember them, we must also look at how we treat the living heroes walking among us. 🪖🥾

Did you know that Tennessee is home to nearly 400,000 military Veterans? Many of them struggle with the invisible wounds of war, like PTSD and chronic painđź’”Yet, under current state law, our vets are forced to choose between breaking the law to find relief or leaving their home state entirely.

While the federal government is finally making strides—with the US House voting last week to let VA doctors recommend medical c@nnabis—Tennessee Veterans are still being left behind by state lawmakers.

Let's honor our fallen by taking care of our living. It’s time for Tennessee to provide our Veterans with safe, legal, and compassionate healthcare choices. 🇺🇸🌿

I’m actively working to build and strengthen our network of Tennessee Veterans so we can better advocate for their needs. I have connected with a few already, and I want to make sure our efforts are well aligned. What are the biggest gaps right now, and how can I best help you? If you would like to be in our network, please message us or comment below. ~ Kindall
