Monday is Memorial Day, and an important time to remember to buckle up!

👮 South Carolina’s “Click it, Don’t Risk It” seatbelt enforcement campaign is underway, and will continue through the end of the month. The campaign puts an extra emphasis on making sure every driver and their passengers are buckled up.

🚗 Seatbelts save lives. On average, every 54 minutes a passenger vehicle occupant in the U.S. not wearing a seat belt dies in a traffic crash. Let’s all buckle up, and make sure your passengers do, too.

🇺🇸 Have a great – and SAFE – Memorial Day weekend!

âť“ Did you know that 15% of all traffic fatalities involve motorcycle riders?

🏍️ May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, and we are reminding everyone that “Motorcyclists’ safety is everyone’s safety!”

Tips for Motorcyclists:
• Observe all traffic laws and always obey the speed limit.
• Wear a DOT-compliant helmet and other personal protective gear. NHTSA estimates that helmets save the lives of close to 2,000 riders every year.
• Never ride while impaired or distracted. A DUI costs an average $10,000 and can lead to jail time, loss of your operator’s license, and higher insurance rates.
• Complete rider education courses and ride with a current motorcycle license.
• Drive and ride defensively.
