*******SCAM WARNING*******
Our department has been contacted several times over the past few weeks in reference to a substantial scam circulating the internet claiming to be within our small community. There is a company posing to sell large equipment, possibly with the names of "Donnie's Equipment", "Donnie's Machinery" or "Donnie's Implements". They have priced large equipment at very low prices. These businesses are not legitimate.
Please do not fall for this scam! If the price seems unbelievable, then it most likely is. Feel free to call our department or our City Offices to check if a business is legitimate.
If you have been a victim of this or any financial scam, you can report it to the Internet Crime Complaint Center led by the FBI at ic3.gov.

We are looking for your help. In the overnight hours of February 24-25, between the hours of 12am and 3am most likely, we had several vehicles broken into, a stolen ATV and a white stolen truck. The ATV was recovered. We are asking for you to review your cameras, if you have any, and see if they captured any suspicious activity that might assist us in our investigation.

Also a friendly reminder, please lock and secure your vehicles each day. We do our best to keep Gordon as safe as possible, but there will always be those that do not respect others and will take things that do not belong to them. Don't let it be you.

We are looking for your best views! 📷 🖼️📹
The community experienced a string of vandalisms overnight, May 7-8. We are requesting any home camera footage that may have captured the vandal(s) in action or just walking to the next location.

At the moment, our primary affected area is east of Main Street going north from US Hwy 27 to around 5th Street. That area may expand.

If you have footage to share, we would appreciate if you could share it with us by dropping off a DVD disc or USB drive to the Gordon Police Department. Please don't share here or on social media that you have footage or the actual footage. We do not wish to create a witch hunt but rather are requesting helpful footage to help us close this case.

If you have a vandalism to report, please call our dispatch at 308-327-2161 to have an officer respond to your location. Thank you in advance for your help!
