This week, the GES 2nd–5th grade HAL Program wrapped up the year with an exciting rocket launch activity. Over the past several weeks, students worked hard designing and building their rockets in preparation for launch day. All but a few rockets launched successfully, making for a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved! Thank you to Mrs. Perkins and Mr. Jesse for leading our HAL Program, and to all of the students for supporting and cheering on each launch throughout the event.

Today, GES celebrated Walk, Bike, or Roll to School Day, sponsored by Panhandle Public Health District. We had many students and families participate in the event! Students also received a Gatorade generously donated by Gordon Memorial Hospital. To ensure every student had the opportunity to be involved, teachers took their classes on walks throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success!

Today was a special day at GES---it marked the 1,000th Day of School for our 5th graders (since they began in Kindergarten). With this huge feat, they were surprised with a celebration in the gym, gifts, extra 'perks' throughout the day, and a team challenge to serve the younger classes. The 5th grade teachers and GES are so proud of our 5th graders and this was a great way to let them know that all of their hard work throughout elementary school has paid off as they begin their journey to middle school!

After reviewing the materials, please complete the survey linked below indicating your preference regarding the remaining options.
