Our department was dispatched to a water rescue on the Lower Illinois near Gore Landing earlier this evening. We are thankful that everything went smooth and all of the stranded individuals were safely rescued by our rescue team and brought to shore.  We are grateful for our dedicated members who train for and respond to emergencies! 🚨🇺🇸🚒🚤🌊

Help us wish Gore Firefighter Jerry McGrew a super Happy Birthday!! Jerry has served this community for many years and we are thankful for him! He always has a smile and a positive outlook on any situation. We are blessed to have him on our dept and as a member of our community! Thank you Jerry for all you do!

We want to brag on one of our new members! Ivy Toney attended Camp Fierce 2026 in Stillwater this past weekend. Ivy was awarded the Phoenix Award for taking the initiative and showing strong leadership skills! We are so very proud of her! She is an awesome blessing to our dept and the skills she is gaining will serve our community well! Thank you Ivy for sacrificing your time and representing our Fire Dept so well!

We are thankful for our Harps grocery store and we are honored to have their support! Come out this Saturday for some great family fun and help support our local emergency services.

We appreciate Harps for organizing a fun fundraising event for the benefit of our local Fire and Police Departments, with all donations going straight to the departments. Thanks to Harps and every donor.

We had a great training weekend yesterday and today! We teamed up with West Tenkiller Fire Department , Webbers Falls Fire Department, Sequoyah County RFPD1, & McKey Fire Dept for an Auto Extrication class & a Heavy Rescue class both taught by Training Solutions. We had a great time sharpening our vehicle rescue skills! A huge thanks to all our members who gave up their weekend to be better trained and prepared to serve our awesome community!
