The Town of Gorham is pleased to announce that public nominations are now open for the 2026 Spirit of America Award. This annual recognition honors local individuals, organizations, and projects whose service reflects the very best of community spirit, volunteerism, and civic responsibility.

Nominations will be accepted from May 20 through June 12, 2026, and must be submitted using the online nomination form.

Residents are encouraged to recognize those who have made a meaningful and lasting impact on Gorham through acts of service, leadership, and community-building efforts—often carried out without expectation of recognition.

Exciting news from Southern Maine Huskies! The USM Gorham campus is hosting a series of games as part of the 2026 DIII Baseball Regional, beginning Friday, May 15th through Sunday, May 17th.

Teams from Babson, RIT, and Rowan will be on campus with their fanbase in town.

Southern Maine will be making its first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2021, and its 27th overall, after defeating Keene State College, 11-5, on Saturday to earn the program's seventh Little East Conference tournament title and the conference's automatic bid. The Huskies are 30-10 on the season, and went 4-0 in the LEC Tournament, outscoring their opponents 46-25 over the four games.

It’s Tree Festival season!

Decorate a tree, share it with the Gorham Village Alliance, and you could win a traveling trophy + a donation to your favorite charity!

Entries due by December 12th so get out there, get into it, and show us your holiday schpirit!!

Join the Gorham Village Alliance for the 9th Annual Tree Festival!

How to Participate:

Set up a tree outside your business or home.
Choose a theme or color scheme and decorate your tree however you’d like.
Have your tree decorated by December 12th.
Share your festive creation on the Gorham Village Alliance page.
Message us on Facebook if you’d like your tree to be included in the judging.

Grand Prize:�The winner will receive a traveling plaque to display until next year’s festival—plus a donation made to the winner’s charity of choice!

Winners will be announced on December 19th, along with the final Shop the Village winners.
