Celebrating our newest HFA graduate! 🎓💙

Today we're celebrating a family who has completed their journey with Healthy Families America (HFA) after three years of support!

HFA walks alongside families during the early years of parenting, offering home-based support, information about child development, connections to resources, and a trusted person to celebrate milestones along the way.

Three years bring a lot of growth, learning, and special moments. We're grateful to have shared in some of them and excited to celebrate this family's graduation!

There's still time to join Empowering Fathers Across New Hampshire!

This FREE program combines group sessions for dads and father figures with one-on-one support, parenting and communication skills, and connections to community resources.

The first session is September 30 at 166 Main Street in Berlin. The remaining sessions will be virtual until the group comes back together in person for the final session.

Meals are provided at in-person sessions, with gas cards and childcare stipends available as needed. Participants can also earn up to $200 in gift cards.

Yesterday, our leadership team and Board of Directors came together for our annual Board Retreat.

We spent time revisiting our 2024–2029 Strategic Plan, celebrating progress we’ve made, and having thoughtful conversations about the challenges and barriers still in front of us.

Our plan keeps us focused on strengthening and expanding programs and services, investing in our staff, increasing financial sustainability, and continuing to build an engaged and effective board.

Around the table were people with different experiences, perspectives, and strengths, all thinking together about what’s possible for the Family Resource Center and the communities we’re part of.

There was plenty of problem-solving, some outside-the-box thinking, and time to dream big about where the next several years could take us. We’re grateful to our Board for bringing their time, ideas, and commitment to this work. 💙

Today, 1,500 middle and high school students will be exploring career paths and opportunities right here in the North Country.

You can find the Family Resource Center team in the Healthcare building, ready to talk with students interested in social work and the many career paths that can lead to the FRC and what it can look like to build a career supporting families and communities right here in the North Country.

Our Kinship Navigation Program supports grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other relatives who are raising children in their family. Our team can help caregivers find resources, understand available supports, and connect with others who understand the experience of kinship caregiving.

Reaching out for support can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are a lot of resources out there, and figuring out where to start isn't always easy.
That's one reason many of our programs bring support right to families. Our home-based services give parents and caregivers a chance to connect one-on-one, talk about what's important to their family, and find support that fits their needs and goals.
You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
