At Story Hour this week, Claire will read The Rainbow Snail by Karin Akesson. Then, beginning with a blank page except for a lovely blue cloud, the kids will dip Q-tips in paint to make raindrops and crayon paint sticks for grass, stems, and flowers. Such beautiful gardens they will create! Wednesday, May 27, from 10:30 to 11:30 at North Gorham Public Library.

When you're cleaning up your garden, think of us and set aside any plants you'd like to donate to our sale. All proceeds go to new books and library supplies. We can take plants a week or two before the sale. We'll take tools and pots for resale, too.

We're also accepting books in good condition for the book sale. Please do not donate textbooks, encyclopedias, or Reader's Digest condensed sets. Thank you.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, this year, we've added a yard sale! We are selling outdoor
spaces for $10. You need to bring your own table and chair. If you are interested, send us a DM or an email ([email protected]) for information.

Cats and more cats at Story Hour this week! Claire will read Atticus Caticus, written by Sarah Maizes and illustrated by Kara Kramer. Then she'll give each child "the white frame of a cat on paper," which they'll be able to color in by gluing on paper and tissue scraps, eyes, whiskers, and a smile. Story Hour is on Wednesday, May 20, from 10:30 to 11:30. Meow!
