Orange County’s Summer Youth Employment Program is officially underway!

Huge shoutout to the 229 Newburgh, 262 Middletown, and 43 Port Jervis youth who showed up early and ready for Intake Day… Your energy was incredible and we can’t wait to see you shine this summer!

Special thanks to Orange County Community College - SUNY Orange and Foundry 42 for providing the nice spaces. Community partnerships like these make all the difference.

Here’s to a summer full of growth, opportunity, and success for our young people. Keep an eye out for them at businesses and nonprofits throughout the County and don’t be afraid to say hi!

Crystal Run Bridge #2 on Stony Ford Road Update…
Progress is moving right along! The Orange County Department of Public Works Bridge Crew is on schedule, and the bridge deck is expected to be set in less than a week. Great work by the team keeping this project moving forward!

Thank you to everyone who made the Spring Job Fair a success! We hosted 106 employers and 500+ job seekers, with 99% employer satisfaction.

Highlights: Orange County Human Resources collected 50 resumes, ShopRite met 78 candidates, Mid Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center saw 125 interested attendees, Garnet Health met 59 candidates, and UNFI made 4 on‑the‑spot hires.

What an amazing day! More than 700 Orange County seniors came out for our annual Health and Fitness Day, and they brought the sunshine with them! With over 50 vendors and County departments sharing resources, programs, and tons of great samples, there was something for everyone.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the fun, the laughs, and the healthy living tips. And an extra‑special shout‑out to the Orange County Office for the Aging for putting together such a fantastic event, year after year!
