Goshen Community Schools acknowledges the rights of students, parents, and patrons to view and comment on GCS Facebook posts. GCS reserves the right to remove any comment that includes abusive, defamatory or obscene language; harassing or bullying comments about a specific student or staff member; threats of violence; fraudulent, d

eceptive, or misleading information; or comments which violate the privacy rights of any GCS student or staff member; any illegal or unlawful comment or any comment that interferes with the normal operation or educational purpose of GCS or one of its schools or functions. If such comments are posted, GCS will take actions that can include hiding comments, deleting comments, or other measures reasonably designed to eliminate such posts, as well as reporting any illegal activity to law enforcement and disciplining students or staff members for harassing or bullying conduct. While we appreciate the interaction with students and community members, GCS is an educational entity, and as such, we aim to use this platform in an informative and responsible manner. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with these rules. A person believing that a social media post or comment was improperly removed or hidden, or whose participation was suspended, should contact the GCS administration office to schedule a meeting to present information to the superintendent or superintendent’s designee, regarding why that post or comment should not have been removed. Within five school days after receiving information and evidence at that meeting, the superintendent or the superintendent’s designee shall make a written determination on the validity of the removal.

✨ Our second full week at Waterford Elementary is in the books! 💙

What a fun and busy week it has been! Our students continue to settle into the school year, learn new things, make memories, and show their Waterford pride each day! 📚🌎✨

📸 Picture Day Update: School pictures were delivered to our students this week! If your child missed Picture Day or would like to retake their picture, Picture Retake Day will be September 21.

⭐ We also enjoyed a special visit from a Cub Scout who talked with our students during lunch about Cub Scouts, what they do, and all the fun opportunities they have to learn, explore, and serve their community! Our students enjoyed listening and learning more while they ate. 🥪🧭

🎨🏀 We’re also sharing a few snapshots from Art Class and Gym Class, where our students get to be creative, active, and have fun while learning!

🎟️ And our Golden Ticket Box is filling up! We’re getting closer and closer to pulling names for each grade level. Students whose names are selected will receive a special tag to proudly display on their backpack! ⭐🎒 We can’t wait to see who gets chosen!

¡Qué semana tan divertida y llena de actividades! Nuestros estudiantes continúan adaptándose al nuevo año escolar, aprendiendo cosas nuevas, creando recuerdos y demostrando su orgullo por Waterford cada día. 📚🌎✨

📸 ¡Actualización de las fotografías escolares! Las fotografías escolares fueron entregadas a nuestros estudiantes esta semana. Si su hijo(a) no pudo tomarse la foto o desea repetirla, el día de retoma de fotografías será el 21 de septiembre.

⭐ También disfrutamos de una visita especial de un Cub Scout, quien habló con nuestros estudiantes durante el almuerzo sobre los Cub Scouts, lo que hacen y todas las divertidas oportunidades que tienen para aprender, explorar y servir a su comunidad. ¡Nuestros estudiantes disfrutaron mucho escuchando y aprendiendo más mientras almorzaban! 🥪🧭

🎨🏀 También compartimos algunas fotos de nuestras clases de Arte y Educación Física, donde nuestros estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de ser creativos, mantenerse activos y divertirse mientras aprenden.

🎟️ ¡Y nuestra Caja de Boletos Dorados se está llenando! ⭐ Nos estamos acercando cada vez más al momento de sacar nombres de cada grado escolar. Los estudiantes cuyos nombres sean seleccionados recibirán una etiqueta especial para mostrar con orgullo en su mochila. ⭐🎒 ¡Estamos emocionados por descubrir quiénes serán los afortunados!

What a wonderful first full week back at Waterford Elementary! 💛

From learning and laughter to teamwork, creativity, our students jumped right into the new school year with energy and enthusiasm! 🌎✨

This week was full of special moments—from Picture Day 📸 and making memories to practicing our safety routines during a fire drill 🚒. We’re so proud of how our students and staff handled each day with smiles, teamwork, and a positive attitude!

A special thank you to Grace Community Church for the thoughtful gifts for our teachers! 🎁🍎 Your kindness and support mean so much to our Waterford staff and help us feel celebrated as we begin a new school year. 💛

We are absolutely loving the energy, excitement, smiles, and learning happening throughout Waterford Elementary! From new friendships to big accomplishments, our Wildcats have made this first week one to remember. 📚✨

One letter closer to the Wildcats! 🐾

Each year, Waterford Elementary gathers every student and staff member outside to create a giant letter as they slowly spell out Waterford, and now, their new mascot name together. This year’s letter: “I”.

We had the opportunity to capture the tradition from above — and students and staff made it even more fun by waving at the drone as it flew overhead.

A fun tradition, a great memory, and another exciting step in Waterford’s Wildcat journey.

Cada año, Waterford Elementary reúne a todos los estudiantes y al personal fuera de la escuela para crear una letra gigante mientras deletrean lentamente Waterford, y ahora, juntos, el nombre de su nueva mascota. La letra de este año: "I".
