What is your favorite part of your job?
DQ: Seeing the data aspect of everything that we do, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I find it interesting to see how all the cases are handled, all the questions that people have, all the information that must be relayed to residents, and how it is ever-changing. I enjoy providing information to the public and ensuring that it is precise and accurate. We work very hard to provide the right facts and I’m proud of that.
Your greatest accomplishment in life?
DQ: Graduating from SUNY Orange (in 2015) with my father (Robert). Walking down the aisle together and getting those diplomas was a very proud moment in my life. I think it was great that my dad went back to college to better himself.
What movie, book, or song/album motivates you or inspires creativity?
DQ: Anything by (rapper) Drake will get me in the mood. Drake is a great artist and his music can fit anything and empower people. I can go old school as well. I’m a big Michael Jackson fan. Anything that gets me dancing will push me to do things.
Important advice you’ve received along the way?
DQ: Have a positive outlook on life because things change all the time. Sometimes, even in the darkest moments, you can find the light. Like during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was able to move around in a variety of positions and continue to work my way up. During those dark times, looking towards something positive or having a goal set was very important.
What is one thing someone might not know about you?
DQ: A long time ago, I used to produce music, I used to make beats. I can beatbox. I played college basketball for a year until I got hurt. I love basketball.
