The Goshen Fire Department is proud to share that we have once again been awarded both the Senior SAFE and Student SAFE Grants as we complete our 24th year of providing fire and life safety education.

These programs play a vital role in prevention and prevention education, helping us reduce risk and keep residents safe. We are grateful for the continued support, including $5,500 for Student SAFE and $2,800 for Senior SAFE programming, which allows us to continue serving our community.

TUESDAY TRAINING

This past Tuesday, members of the Goshen Fire Department took part in a valuable training in partnership with Highland Ambulance Service, who joined us at our station.

Crews reviewed the layout and placement of equipment on their ambulances, helping our members become more familiar with where to quickly locate both routine items and specialty equipment when assisting on calls.

Trainings like this strengthen coordination between agencies and help ensure we can efficiently access the tools we need whether it’s a common response or a more specialized situation.

We appreciate Highland Ambulance taking the time to work with us and support continued collaboration. 🚒🚑

Last Saturday, members of the Goshen Fire Department were happy to support a community event by providing ice safety coverage for the annual polar plunge benefiting All Out Adventures.

Despite a little snow during the event, participants came out ready to take the plunge, helping raise a considerable amount of funding to support All Out Adventures’ programming and their mission of providing inclusive outdoor recreation opportunities.

To help keep things safe, two Goshen firefighters donned ice rescue suits and stood by on the ice to support participants throughout the event.

We are always glad to assist with community events like this when possible. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success!

Snow changes access, visibility, and response time. That is why we train for it.

Goshen Fire Department members recently worked alongside the Goshen Highlanders Snowmobile Club to strengthen our winter emergency response. Snowmobiles play a critical role in reaching patients in remote and snow covered areas.

We are grateful for this partnership and the shared commitment to keeping Goshen safe.

Strong partnerships. Stronger response.
