It looks like we are in the clear! The storm passed north of us.

The storms are going north of us. We have not seen any rain here in Gouverneur.

We continue to monitor the weather at this time. It looks like there might be a slight risk of showers around 6 PM. However, the show is still scheduled for this evening. If anything changes, we will update the status on our page.

After answering over 40 calls for service in the last 18 hours members are currently setting up for tonight’s main event!

Remember the best entrance will be the main gate on Rock Island Street or East Babcock Street. Due to the construction at the high school the entrance near Rock Island and East Barney is closed.

Raffle Reminder! The Department is currently selling tickets for the lottery board pictured below at the Casablanca! Tickets can also be bought the night of the fireworks at the Department’s table adjacent to the main gate. Guaranteed $50 winner!

With the fireworks just three days away the members would like to remind the community of the following:

- Personal fireworks are not permitted on the fairgrounds.

- Gates will open at 5:00 pm

- Entry to the grounds is through East Babcock Street, East Barney Street, and the main entrance on Rock Island Street. Due to ongoing construction the gate located at the Middle School will be closed.

- East Barney entrance will eventually be limited to foot traffic and parking adjacent to the fair office only.

- Fireworks will begin between 9:45 and 10:00 pm depending on light levels. There will be a warning shot prior to the start.
