A few showers across northern portions of the area this morning will lead to some clearing before another round of showers and storms moves in from the west. The potential is there for additional showers and storms through midweek. Severe weather is not currently expected.

A cold start to the week, potentially hitting 90 by Friday. We are forecast to remain dry through the week, too. Tomorrow in the early afternoon, we could see some patchy blowing dust behind as a cold front brings in northwesterly winds gusting 25-35 MPH.

If traveling, seeking refuge in a vehicle or under an overpass is NOT safe! Drive away from the storm to a designated shelter, basement or safe room. Learn more: weather.gov/safety/tornado

Road and bridge will have a barricade placed at Old 40 and County Road Y on March 4th for Union Pacific to do maintenance.

Road will all be closed for that day.

Don't forget Storm Spotter Training is in Grinnell Tomorrow.
Trained spotters provide real-time ground reports to the National Weather Service, confirming what radar may only suggest. These reports can make the difference in issuing timely tornado, severe thunderstorm, or flash flood warnings. By participating in the this storm spotter training, volunteers help protect lives and property while strengthening overall community preparedness.
