🚌 KIDS ARE BACK IN SCHOOL! 🚌

That means school buses are back out on the roads, making frequent stops and picking up our most precious passengers.

Please remember: kids may be crossing the road, and they don’t always see or hear approaching traffic.

🛑 STOP MEANS STOP. 🛑

When a school bus has its stop sign out and red lights flashing, STOP and stay stopped. Give our kids the time and space they need to cross safely.

Slow down. Pay attention. Be patient. Let’s all do our part to make sure every child gets to school and back home safely. 🚌

Join us for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th, from 5:00–8:00 PM at Perkins Park in Plattsburg for an evening filled with fun activities, community connections, and the chance to meet the men and women who serve and protect our community.

We’d like to remind everyone to take a moment and check in on your neighbors. This heat is taking its toll. Check in with them, especially the elderly population who are even more susceptible to these harsh conditions. Stay hydrated, take frequent breaks, and watch out for each other. Take care of outdoor pets, make sure they have plenty of water and find a shady spot for them to relax.

Legacy isn't just passed down; it's earned. Today, another cadet officially stepped up to probationary firefighter status. We only thought it’s fitting to have Dad present his son with his helmet. It’s an absolute honor to watch these kids follow in their family's footsteps and carry the torch forward. Congratulations Matthew Hanks!
