Never Swim Alone! We can't stress this enough. So many times we hear of tragedy on our lakes and rivers throughout Northeast Indiana and in many of those cases, it was a lone swimmer or a lone fisherman. A buddy can save your life!

We never know what the next call will bring. We train for what could happen. For the possibility we in all honesty pray will never happen. But when it does we're ready. Tonight, that training was put to use in the real world. Two Fire Departments who work together and train together worked flawlessly together tonight to rescue a patient using a rope line and low angle rescue techniques our guys have been training on for months. It was amazing work by all involved!

They call it the Confidence Trailer. It is a training obstacle course in a semi trailer that is sponsored by the State of Indiana. Fire Departments can request it to train their personnel on different aspects of fire fighting. This trailer is not fun. This trailer is work. It will stress you. It will push you and when you come out, you have the confidence to know that you can do the job and stand beside your brothers and sisters and serve your community.
