It's hard to put into words what Randy Bates has meant to Edgmont and our community. He dedicated a lifetime to serving our township and our fire company, while also putting Edgmont on the map through Bates Motel and Arasapha Farm. Randy leaves behind an enormous void, but I know his legacy will live on through his wife, Anne, his children, and the countless people whose lives he touched.

Thank you for everything, Randy. Your service, dedication, and love for Edgmont will never be forgotten.

Congratulations gentlemen! I was sorry to miss it!

Happy 250th birthday America🇺🇸 ! My family has been going to the Marple Newtown Parade for as long as I can remember, but after it was cancelled, we decided to go to Thornbury's parade. Thanks to Mike Mattson for Thornbury Township, Delaware County Supervisor for texting me back late at night when I had no idea where to park for the parade! The kids had a blast, loved the cannon, food trucks🚚, and free hot dogs. 🌭 After we saw Former Edgmont Supervisor Ron Gravina and Edgmont Supervisor Annie Thorne, we went to see the West Chester Railroad 🚂 which was open for visitors at the Thornbury station. Our only regret is that we didn't bring our pup, Lincoln(after Abe, of course) as we thought it would be too hot for him. Next year! 🎆 🇺🇸

A big thank you to our township staff and the Edgmont Historical Society for organizing such a wonderful event on Saturday to celebrate America’s 250th birthday!

Residents enjoyed a curated self-guided tour of Edgmont’s historic sites before stopping by the Township Building for water ice and pretzels. Despite the rainy weather, the community came out in great numbers, proving that a little rain couldn’t dampen our patriotic spirit. It was the perfect rainy-day activity and a great way to celebrate Edgmont’s rich history and our nation’s 250th anniversary!

This Saturday, join us for some fun and take part in a self-guided driving tour of Edgmont's historical sites!

🌳 🌎 On this Earth Day, I had the pleasure of attending a fascinating presentation called "Written On The Earth: The Story Of Edgmont In Stone And Stream" at White Horse Village.

Hosted by the Edgmont Historical Society, the program brought to life the rich natural and geological history of Edgmont, reminding us how deeply our area is shaped by the land beneath our feet and the streams that run through it.

It was a meaningful way to spend Earth Day while reflecting not just on protecting our environment, but also understanding the story it tells. Thanks to the Historical Society who organized such an engaging and educational event! 🌎 🌳
