Message from the Mayor
Keeping our community, beautiful and connected
Dear residents of Graettinger,
As we move through the final stretch of summer, I’m grateful for the energy, pride and neighborliness that continue to shine through our community. With Labor Day just around the corner I wanna share a few few updates and reminders as we prepare for one of Graettinger‘s favorite traditions.
Community Events
- Graettinger Labor Day: our annual celebration is nearly here and we’re excited to welcome everyone downtown for music, food, local vendors, and activities for all ages. It’s a wonderful chance to support local businesses and enjoy time with friends and neighbors.
-Farmers Market: every Wednesday morning at Fahnestock Park you’ll find fresh produce homemade goods and friendly faces. Thank you for continuing to support our local growers and makers .
- Library Downtown Story Walk: every two weeks a new story will be displayed across our downtown businesses -after your family completes the walk stop by the library to visit Leslie and pick up a free copy of the featured book to enjoy at home .
- Street repairs continue throughout town. Thanks for your continued patience and support.
- For Safety Tips: please remember to test smoke detectors and follow safe grilling practices as you enjoy summer gatherings .
- Community Watch: if you notice suspicious activity please report to city officials or local PD -working together keeps Graettinger safe and strong.
As visitors and families prepared to celebrate with us, I kindly ask everyone to take a moment to tidy up their yards, trim overgrowth, and remove debris. A little cleanup goes a long way and showing pride for our community and ensuring Graettinger looks it’s best for the holiday weekend, your efforts help create a warm welcoming atmosphere our town is known for.
Thank you for your continued commitment to Graettinger‘s future. Together we make this community a wonderful place to live, work, and celebrate.
Wishing you a safe, joyful, and memorable Labor Day season,
Brandon Armstrong- Mayor of Graettinger
