🚒🔥 OCTOBER IS FIRE PREVENTION MONTH & THERE’S STILL TIME TO MAKE YOUR HOME SAFER!

As October comes to a close, Palo Pinto County Emergency Services District No. 1 reminds residents that fire prevention doesn’t end when the month does.

A few minutes of preparation today could save lives tomorrow.

🏠 Before October ends, take the time to:

âś… Test your smoke alarms and replace batteries when needed.

âś… Make sure everyone in your home knows two ways out of every room.

âś… Create a family escape plan and practice it together.

âś… Keep anything that can burn at least three feet away from heating equipment.

âś… Never leave cooking unattended on the stove.

đźš’ Our firefighters are committed to protecting lives and property throughout Palo Pinto County, but fire safety begins with prevention.

Make fire safety a priority this week — and every week!

đźš’ See flashing lights? Slow down and move over!

Texas law requires drivers to move out of the lane closest to certain stopped emergency and service vehicles when it is safe to do so. If moving over isn’t possible, drivers must slow down as required by law.

A few seconds of caution could save someone’s life.

Help us protect those who protect our communities.
