This week, we recognize Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision Professionals Week and celebrate the dedicated professionals who make our communities safer every day.

Whether they're helping individuals build successful lives after incarceration, holding people accountable through evidence-based supervision, connecting clients with resources, or supporting victims and the justice system, our probation, parole, and pretrial professionals play a vital role in public safety across North Dakota.

Thank you to our incredible DOCR team for your professionalism, compassion, and unwavering commitment to changing lives while protecting our communities. Your work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt every day.

Please join us in thanking these outstanding professionals during Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Professionals Week, July 19–25.

As we celebrate the hard work done by our Parole, Pretrial, and Probation staff this week, Regions 1 and 7 would like to recognize Mitch Burris for his contribution to their division.

With more than 35+ years working with justice-involved individuals, Mitch is a dedicated professional serving as Treatment Court Officer in Fargo. His passion and commitment to assisting those who struggle with addiction is commendable. Mitch’s patience and positive communication style play a key role in developing strong professional relationships that participants appreciate.

We are fortunate to have Mitch working for our department! Thanks for everything you do!
