Taylor County Emergency Squad.INC is a Non-profit 501c3 Organization (Donations Always accepted P.O.Box 161-Grafton,WV 26354). EMS was founded by all volunteers desiring to help others in times of crisis and emergency situations. EMS started in 1961 at Latrobe Street in Grafton. EMS used a hearse as the first ambulance serving the community. EMS receives an Emergency service levy that was started

by Amy Summers and Beth Twigg. EMS now has full time and part time staff, that work around the clock to ensure the highest standard of care is being offered to the community. We currently operate three ambulances that are state certified. They respond to: 911 emergency calls, hospital to hospital transports, non-emergency medical transports, festivals, sporting events, etc.

Written for West Virginia EMS by Cecil Odell Music, this song reflects the true weight of the job—the long days, the difficult calls, and the sacrifices often unseen. We extend our deepest gratitude to all EMS providers, especially those of Taylor County Emergency Squad, who stand strong for others in their darkest hours.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our Lieutenant/EMT and friend Michelle Mayle.
Michelle wasn't just a coworker- she was part of our family. She brought joy, laughter, compassion and warmth to everyone around her. She was a proud momma bear to all of her kids and loved with all her heart.
Our thoughts, heartfelt condolences and prayers are with her entire loving family, friends and all who knew her.
