Sharing for our friends Ozaukee Indivisible
Reminder that Coffee, Tea, and Democracy is held at the OzDems office this Saturday 11-1. Make a day of it! Protest, donate items, and have great conversations!
OzDems office: 1245 Cheyenne Ave, Grafton
‼️📣Picnic being rescheduled📣‼️
We were notified that the restrooms at Hillschool Park are currently closed due to a plumbing issue that unfortunately will not be fixed by this Saturday due to a backorder of parts. We will be rescheduling the picnic to a later date this summer since there are no restrooms nearby for attendees. We are still hosting the protest from 10-11am and a few of us will hang at the park until 11:45am so donations for Advocates of Ozaukee can still be dropped off after the protest.
While our primary focus for this toy drive is outdoor toys, Advocates of Ozaukee also let us know that they would be happy to accept donations for indoor toys in “like new” condition (no plush toys can be accepted).
They also provided us the following most needed list if you would like to donate any of these on Saturday:
· Bottled juices
· Children’s Snack- goldfish, fruit snacks, applesauce
· Condiments- Ketchup, mustard, mayo and ranch
· Coffee
As a friendly reminder, The Port Washington Festival of the Arts will run from 11am- 5pm, but we wanted to highlight some multicultural performances that you may want to attend:
· Tamarind Tribal Dance 11:00am – 11:45am
· Chinese Lion Dancer 12:30pm – 1:00pm
· Panadanza 1:30pm – 2:30pm
· Kayla Schetter Dance Co 3:00pm – 3:30pm
· Syrena Polish Dance 4:15pm – 4:45pm
On Saturday, 6/6 we are planning to host an overpass protest in recognition of D-Day. Watch for details in the coming days!
