This is what it's all about. This is why we have mud on our boots, why we sweat through the summer heat, and why we do the sacred work.
Watch along as we release this beautiful female river cooter back into her native North Carolina habitat. She came to us in need of help, but today, she swam back into the wild, free and whole. The language of nature is ringing out clear, and we are honored to be its stewards.
As many of you know, our mission is growing. On June 27th, our brand-new, dedicated Wildlife Medical and Housing Building will arrive on site! While the structure itself was incredibly donated, we have to completely customize and equip the interior ourselves—from triage workbenches to specialized climate-controlled housing enclosures for our future patients.

The building arrives on June 27th. 🗓️🦅
While the shell of this new wildlife medical and housing building was incredibly donated to us, the critical work of transforming the empty structure into a fully functional, life-saving facility rests entirely on our shoulders. We have to design, customize, and equip the interior from scratch.
Before the structure even drops on the North Carolina dirt, we are launching our interior prep phase. We need to secure the heavy-duty rack systems, specialized animal housing tubs, shelving units, medical workbench, and triage desk required to make this space operational.
