JOB OPENING
The Graham Housing Authority seeks an Intake/Occupancy position for the Low-Rent
Housing program. Successful Candidate should have extensive knowledge of Federal
Housing Regulations. Working knowledge of interviewing techniques as well as the ability
to verify information received. Be able to communicate effectively both in written and
oral formats. Ability to work quickly and accurately both with numbers and forms as well
as being able to effectively accept changes while working under an occasionally stressful
environment and still be able to meet deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain effective
working relationships with clients, other Housing Authority staff and the general public.
Minimum Experience and Training
Associate degree in Human Services or related fields and extensive experience in
the Housing field, Real-estate, Business, Hotel/Motel lndustry, Social Services, or an
equivalent accumulation of experience and training. PHM certification (Public Housing
Manager) a plus. Have or be able to obtain a valid North Carolina driver's license.
Preemployment Drug test required.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks.

Responsibilities:

Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
Perform routine preventive maintenance

​Qualifications:

5 years previous experience in apartment maintenance that includes plumbing, HVAC, electrical and gas (appliance)
Ability to handle physical work
Ability to work 7 am to 3:30 pm M-F as well as on-call hours at night and on weekends (including holidays).

Requirements:

HS Diploma or equivalent
​​​​​​​Valid NC license
Pass a drug test
Strong work ethic
