🚒🔥 INTRODUCING OUR NEW CITY OF GRAHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT PATCH! 🔥🚒

After several months of work, we are proud to officially unveil the NEW Graham Fire Department patch!

Every part of the design represents something important to who we are:

🔥 The center of the Maltese Cross comes from a design discovered on a 1920s Graham Fire Department Manual in the City museum.

🛡️ Our core values — Courage • Integrity • Service • Commitment — are proudly displayed within the Maltese Cross.

🇺🇸 The United States and North Carolina flags represent our pride in the nation and state we serve.

🔥The NY Hook hoisting the flags represents one of the most recognized tools and traditions of the fire service.

🏛️ City of Graham represents the community we proudly serve and protect every day.

🚒 EST. 1903 honors more than 123 years of service and the generations of Graham firefighters who built the foundation of our department.

Our new patch connects our history and traditions with the future of the Graham Fire Department.

🔥🏠 Graham Fire Department Responds to Residential House Fire 🚒

On Friday, August 21, 2026, at approximately 6:05 p.m., the Graham Fire Department responded to a working residential structure fire at 1008 Riverbend Road. The fire occurred during a significant thunderstorm that was impacting Graham and Alamance County. ⛈️🔥

🚒 Engine 10, Truck 10, Car 12, and additional Graham firefighters responded to the incident. The first alarm included: Graham, Haw River, and Mebane Fire Departments. Haw River Chief 4 arrived within two minutes of dispatch and reported a working fire with a large amount of fire and smoke showing. Graham Engine 10 and Truck 10 arrived and had water on the fire within seven minutes of dispatch.

Due to the extent of the fire, a second alarm was requested, bringing additional resources to the scene. The fire was declared under control around 7:15 p.m., with crews remaining on scene until approximately 8:20 p.m. completing overhaul operations and assisting with the investigation. 🔥🧑‍🚒

Automatic & Mutual Aid and strong partnerships between our neighboring departments are critical during incidents like this, and we sincerely appreciate everyone who answered the call to assist Graham.

Most importantly, **the resident was able to escape the home before firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported.** 🙏

🔎 The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Graham Fire Department.

👨‍🚒 Division Chief Nasseri brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to Graham, along with a strong passion for the fire service and public service. His experience and leadership will be a valuable addition as we continue to grow and prepare for the future needs of our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and spent the day with us training on truck company operations! From the students to the instructors and everyone who worked behind the scenes, today was an incredible success.

The dedication, teamwork, and willingness to learn on display made for an outstanding day of training. We are grateful for every person who gave their time and effort to sharpen their skills and invest in the fire service.

Thank you to all of our instructors for sharing their knowledge and experience, and to every student for bringing the energy and enthusiasm that made the class so enjoyable. We had an absolute blast and are already looking forward to the next opportunity to train together.
