π₯π Graham Fire Department Responds to Residential House Fire π
On Friday, August 21, 2026, at approximately 6:05 p.m., the Graham Fire Department responded to a working residential structure fire at 1008 Riverbend Road. The fire occurred during a significant thunderstorm that was impacting Graham and Alamance County. βοΈπ₯
π Engine 10, Truck 10, Car 12, and additional Graham firefighters responded to the incident. The first alarm included: Graham, Haw River, and Mebane Fire Departments. Haw River Chief 4 arrived within two minutes of dispatch and reported a working fire with a large amount of fire and smoke showing. Graham Engine 10 and Truck 10 arrived and had water on the fire within seven minutes of dispatch.
Due to the extent of the fire, a second alarm was requested, bringing additional resources to the scene. The fire was declared under control around 7:15 p.m., with crews remaining on scene until approximately 8:20 p.m. completing overhaul operations and assisting with the investigation. π₯π§βπ

Most importantly, **the resident was able to escape the home before firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported.** π
