Memorial Day Monday, May 25, 2026
The Gramercy Police Department has a strong connection to the military through the service of officers’ family members and veterans within the department.
• Officer John Poche’s son served in the National Guard.
• Assistant Chief Jody Ordeneaux’s son serves in the Coast Guard.
• Officer Ronald Brown is an Army veteran.

Today, the Gramercy Police Department honors and remembers the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Their courage, dedication, and selflessness secured the freedoms we enjoy every day. We pause to reflect on the tremendous cost of liberty and to recognize the families who carry the weight of that sacrifice alongside them.
May we never forget our fallen heroes.
From all of us at the Gramercy Police Department, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸
