Judge Stephen Barnett, Justice of the Peace Pct 3
Hood County, TX I am not a politician. We have two amazing children.

I am deeply honored to serve you as a full-time Justice of the Peace.

I'll start with one very important truth. I am a Christian, Husband, Dad, Grandpa, friend, and your neighbor. It is my most sacred duty to you to remain impartial and unbiased. I will always uphold the law; always defend the U.S. and Texas Constitutions; and always be fair and treat everyone with the respect they deserve. I ma

rried my Junior High sweetheart, Michelle, 33 years ago and she is still the love of my life. Our son is an Army veteran. He served 10 years as a Combat Medic. He now works in construction and has 3 beautiful children. Our daughter is a Licensed Massage Therapist and has 6 beautiful children of her own. Together, they have given us 9 grandbabies (who call us PaDoo and Mimzy) and each one has me wrapped around their tiny little finger!

I was born and raised in Graham, TX where I worked at Graham Regional Medical Center in Respiratory Therapy for over a decade. I also served on the volunteer Fire Department for many years. We moved to Granbury and have lived here for almost 20 years. I worked at Lake Granbury Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist for five years and for over 13 years I worked with Dr. Peter O'Carroll in neurology. During the 2 years of COVID, I filled in when Respiratory needed additional support. I also worked as on-call support for Wiley Funeral Home for 5 years. On nights and weekends, I received calls from families who had lost loved ones. I transferred their loved ones to the Medical Examiner or the Funeral Home.

I have spent my life serving people in some of the lowest places in their lives. Illness, pain, and loss. It has blessed me beyond measure and my prayer has always been that I am a blessing to them. I love this community and have received so much, for which I am truly grateful. I am now happy to serve in a new and more direct way. In my work with Wiley Funeral Home, I had the pleasure to work alongside each of the Justices of the Peace in Hood County. I was moved by their compassion. I spoke with my wife and, after much prayer, made the decision to serve with them.

I believe strongly in law and order. I believe everyone deserves equal opportunity and treatment. I believe in integrity, honesty, fairness, justice, and personal as well as community responsibility,

I believe every individual has the right to be heard by an impartial judge and treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. I want to serve YOU and I am grateful the residents of Precinct 3 have allowed me to do that. Judge Stephen Barnett
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3

🌟 Grateful. Honored. Blessed. 🌟

The paperwork has been submitted!

Serving the people of Precinct 3, and our community, has been one of the greatest honors and blessings of my life. I’m so humbled and grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me; I do not take that trust lightly.

Standing beside my incredible Clerks brings me so much joy. It takes a dedicated team to serve our neighbors with fairness, compassion, and integrity. I could not do my job without these amazing women. Together, we’ve accomplished so much, and with your support, we can continue serving our community for another four years.

Thank you, Precinct 3, for allowing me to do what I love. I would be honored to continue serving you.

Serving as your Justice of the Peace for Precinct 3 has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I’m humbled every day by the trust this community has placed in me, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.

With a heart full of gratitude, a spirit that feels blessed, and a deep sense of purpose, I’m officially announcing my run for reelection.

Over the past term, I’ve worked hard to serve our precinct with fairness, compassion, and integrity. But there’s more to do—and I’d be honored to continue that work for you with your support.

Today, we pause in solemn remembrance of the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

The Bible says in John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Their sacrifice is the very definition of that greater love.

We honor their memory. We thank them. We pray for the families they left behind — may they find peace, strength, and the comfort of knowing their loved ones are never forgotten.

Let us never take our freedoms for granted.
