Thank you for the kind words! We hope Jodie and Jammers continue to enjoy our parks.

Jodie Desmond with her Guide Dog, Jammers.

While I was there last week, I witnessed, with all the commotion of City Workers setting for your festive season, busy blowing off walking paths for a safe route for them to stay fit and fine tuned for both their Heart, Mind and Souls.
Also, safety observed while putting your beautiful, timeless trees together. A free path, with employees taking notice, yet not interfering their route.

Your workers maintained their cordial respect for a Guide Dog by not interrupting the job of the dog, keeping his human safe and listening to his human, allowing the human to listen for sounds she will eventually only hear and not see.
I thank your local shops, The Nuttschell Eatery being one, we were fortunate enough to visit.
I thank you for your kind patience in helping, yet allowing independence of freedom to exist in a Situation as This.

Your community should be proud of your City and County Employees.

Thank you so much for the beauty of your Square and Parks.

Did you know? The new swing structure at the Firefighters Playground at Memorial Lane & Jim Burks Memorial Park – Granbury Parks & Recreation (550 N. Travis St.) is installed and ready for use!

In February, five-year-old Oakley and her mother, Jen, raised nearly $6,000 for the funds to purchase the new swing structure. The fundraising efforts covered the purchase of the swing structure, poly timber borders, and a handicap ramp.

Thank you to Oakley, her mother, Jen, those who donated to the fundraiser, local businesses, City Staff, Parks Board, and City Council for making this happen. Oakley, you are a treasure to our community!
