March 5-11 is National Groundwater Awareness Week! In Texas, groundwater provides an estimated 55% of all freshwater used, supplies 73% of the water used by agriculture, and is a source of drinking water (from both public and private wells) for about 5 million Texans. We've been inactive for way too long. Finally, we're heading back to Haiti later this Summer. We plan to travel to Creve and perform much needed maintenance on our existing water systems and make sure they are all producing safe water. We also want to establish a water lab in the area so our local partners can test their own water quality. Finally, we will work with Jeaclin et al. and completely plan our new big project - Chilot Spring Project - for Summer 2022.

As we endure the Covid-19 crisis, don't forget our friends in Haiti: Creve, Trendemese and Rochefort (the sites of our 3-Village Water projects). Jeaclin, our local engineer, reports the water committee is producing thousands of gallons of safe water at all 3 villages + another village from a previous project. Pray that production continues and the spring does not run dry. So far, no cases of Covid-19 in this part of Haiti. However, they are in desperate need of rain.

Completed our 3-village water project. Chlorinating and distributing now in Creve (see picture) and Trendemese. Currently resting in Port-au-Prince before the trip home.

We’re checked in and ready to depart Fort Lauderdale for Port-au-Prince. Airport is busy but we got our slightly over-weight bag (by 4lbs) loaded. Looking forward to installing/starting up the well pump.

Merry Christmas to all of our friends and supporters. Your gifts, support and prayers have been abundant this past year. Remember, we have a short trip Haiti to install/start-up a new submersible pump coming up this weekend. We leave Sunday and return the following Friday. Thanks and Happy New Year's!!

So...we're going to take a trip to Haiti over the Holidays to install a new pump. The previous pump couldn't push the water up the mountain to Creve or Trendemese. The new pump is a multi-staged submersible pump designed specifically for these applications. Anyone with experience installing these kind of pumps call me: 817-825-0956

We made it safely to Port-au-Prince and the guesthouse. Early start tomorrow for northern Haiti and the 3-Village Water Project!
