I'm thrilled to report that Jeaclin, our engineer in Haiti, found a monster pump - in the Dominican Republic. He made an emergency trip to the Dominican Republic last week, purchased the pump and brought it home. Thanks Jeaclin - you the man - see you in few days. Many thanks also to those who donated and prayed specifically for this to happen. So many more of you have made donations in support of the water and medical projects we have planned. Thank you for supporting this ministry. Words cannot adequately describe our gratitude for your support. Your donations will impact the lives of many people. Finally, as we finish up our packing and planning please keep us and especially the people of Creve and Rochefort Haiti in your prayers. We leave Thursday. Merci et bonsoir.

Friends, we're less than 3 weeks from our trip to Haiti. This will be our largest water install ever! 3 villages, 3 large volume systems: Rochefort, Creve, and Trandemise. All 3 villages will benefit from this project. Literally hundreds of people and even thousands will be impacted with safe water. Jeaclin, our local engineer, said the entire area is anxiously awaiting the completion of the water systems. We rarely do this, but we need your help; we're asking you to consider a donation. It will take a monster pump to get the raw water to 3 different locations. We need help getting this pump - it may cost ~$2,000. Any donation would be appreciated. Click the donate button on this page or go to our website: www.water-4-nations.org. Thanks.

The success of our ministry rests squarely on the shoulders of the men and women in the communities where we work.  We may provide the initial funding, technical support and installation, but the success of any of our safe water projects depend upon the dedication, resourcefulness, and perseveran...

Our 2018 Haiti Mission Trip will feature something new this year - Medical Ministry. We've added a medical team this year. The medical team will staff the area's only medical facility, stock the pharmacy, and assist local nurses in public health projects during our trip. We're very excited to be doing water and medical projects in Haiti this Summer. Please pray for us as we continue our planning - there's lots to do before we leave. Both of these projects require funding. If you would like to donate, we've made it easy via PayPal. Go to our website http://www.water-4-nations.org/contact-us---donate.html

Dear friends, we've been off-line for a few months during our re-location but have to break our silence and say something in response to FBC Silsbee's VBS offering for Water-4-Nations this week. During our VBS presentation earlier this week, the kids learned about Jeaclin - an engineer and the driving force behind the success of the safe water projects we install in Northwest Haiti. He sent me these pictures today - moms, dads, and their kids lined up to get safe water to drink and cook with from one of our safe drinking water systems. The money you raised this week will allow us to return to Jeaclin's village and continue the work and build more of these life-saving water systems. Sha and I enjoyed our time talking with the kids and workers about our work in Ecuador and Haiti and we are humbled by the extremely generous gift. Thank you FBC Silsbee for making missions a priority!

Home safe from our water ministry to Haiti. The safe water crisis in Haiti, especially in the NW Mole-St. Nicolas-Bombardopolis-Creve area we worked in this past week is real. Hopefully these pictures will convey a little bit of the daily struggle to find drinking water. There are only a few wells and even fewer springs in the area. Most of the water comes from rain water that is stored in cisterns. Unfortunately, all the cisterns we tested came up positive for coliform bacteria. The good news is that by the grace of God we installed two chlorine disinfection systems that are producing 300 gallons of bacteria free water every hour.

12/20/2016

Before we leave for northwest Haiti, we would like to recognize those who have supported our ministry and made this trip possible: FBC Silsbee, Hickory Grove Baptist Church (Kilgore, TX), Marty & Donna Reed, David Conner, Jim & Donna Robinson, Paul Skinner, Kent & Elizabeth Batman, Bob & Lou Anne Parrish, and Gehrig & Anne Brown. A huge shout out to our new partner - Mountain of Hope - who provided the seed money. And Water Missions International who provided the chlorinators at cost and much needed technical support. And let's not forget OxyChem (Occidental Chemical Company) for the chlorine tablets that kill the bacteria in the water!!

Please keep Johnny and the water team in your prayers as they spend this Christmas Holiday providing clean water in Haiti.

We depart Thursday, December 22nd for Port-au-Prince, Haiti to complete the emergency water projects in Creve. Our brother and engineer, Jeaclin Norelia, is already on site getting things ready. If you need any PVC fittings from Home Depot or Lowe's you better get them now before I buy them all up this weekend - not kidding. Thank you in advance for you prayers and support. None of this would be possible without you!! Everything we do, we do for Him!!

Several months ago, we reported that we were being recalled to Haiti to build additional water systems to help with the increasing demand for clean drinking water in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. Later this month, we depart for Haiti to undertake our boldest water project to date. Keep us in your prayers - especially that we get everything we need to the sites - and lift up our brother Jeaclin Norelia who is making preparations as I write this note. More to follow............

As reported earlier, the people of Creve, Haiti suffered a devastating blow from Hurricane Matthew. They don't have FEMA or Red Cross to help with their recovery. The good new is the water systems we installed in June are intact and functioning. The not so good news is that there is a severe shortage of safe drinking water and Cholera has taken lives in the area. The 3 water systems we installed are producing safe water, but it's not enough for the greater area. We've been asked to return and install more. This is why we exist as an organization. We're going as soon as we can. Join with us - pray for us.

Our good friend Préçois Norcilus (standing between David Conner and Sha) is traveling home to Creve-Haiti this Thursday to help in Hurricane Matthew recovery. I'm sure you still remember our experiences with Rita and Ike. Those events changed our lives forever. My appeal today is simple: please make a small donation to help Préçois and his father Pastor Francois rebuild Creve, their church, their school, and the water systems we installed this past summer. It's time for the body of Christ to stand united and support our brothers and sisters in their time of need. Every penny will go directly to their ministry for recovery! Your donations are tax deductible appreciated. Please mail them to: Water-4-Nations; 1255 East Avenue L; Silsbee, TX 77656. Please share this post with everyone you know and let's make a big impact for our friends!!

Our brothers and sisters in Creve-Haiti have suffered a tremendous blow from hurricane Matthew. Reports are just beginning to come in and they're not good. Pray for their recovery and perseverance through this difficult time. I don't know the condition of the water systems we installed in June, but we will find out. Clean water will be a priority moving forward and we will rebuild if anything was damaged or destroyed. Stay tuned for more details..........

Project Update: because of your donations, our brother in Haiti, Jeaclin, was able to purchase a good pump that will move water to the top tank of our water purification system - see the previous post and picture below. He's now working on getting a power inverter to turn solar power to AC power to run the pump. Clean water is not always available in Haiti - the people have to work hard for it. Pray for Jeaclin and the members of the water council in Creve as they work hard to bring clean water to their people and village. Your generous donations are helping fund these types of projects.

Friends, the Water Committee at Creve, Haiti is raising money to fund the purchase of a power inverter (solar-to-AC power) to run the water pump that fills the top tank (of the clean water system) at the National School (see picture). The one they were using was taken back by the owner. The clean water production has stopped. Why don't we give them a hand and help out with a little fundraiser for them - what do you say? $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can. Let's set $500 as a goal. They'll add to it and be able to start producing clean water again. Send your donations to: Water-4-Nations; 1255 East Avenue L; Silsbee, TX 77656. Thanks.

Our success as a ministry is not measured in the number of systems installed or money donated, rather it's measured in the number of lives affected by safe drinking water. Our effectiveness is due, in no small part, to the dedication of two of our colleagues in Ecuador and Haiti who operate and maintain the chlorination systems. Jeaclin Norelia (Haiti) and Joselo Vargas (Ecuador) love God, love their people, and have a burden to serve their people. Our ministry would be nothing without these brothers.
