Hood County Commissioner Precinct 4 Dave Eagle was interviewed by CBS News’ Norah O'Donnell in this clip from 60 Minutes broadcast last night. In the full segment, many of the data center-related challenges being faced by rural Texans were highlighted. In addition to Commissioner Eagle, activists from the City of Red Oak (Ellis County) were also interviewed, along with ranchers working to protect our proud Texas heritage from the impact of these facilities. It is unfortunate that this issue has become such a significant source of division in our Great Lone Star State.

Exactly twenty-five years ago today, the world changed.

The Hood County Republican Party honors and remembers the nearly 3000 Americans who lost their lives in the horrific and senseless terrorist attack that took place on that September morning in 2001.

And as you go about your Friday, please take time to pray for America, our leaders, those in uniform that are serving and protecting us, and the families of our countrymen who perished on that dreadful day. 😢🙏🏼❤️🤍💙

United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F Kennedy Jr. addressed the Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas tonight. He opened by lamenting how far the once-great political party of both his father and uncle has now strayed from basic American values, liberties and rights.

“The Democratic Party became the party of elites, and labeled regular people as deplorables.”

“They (Democrats) turned our Federal government into the largest child trafficking organization in history.”

On Kamala Harris’ nomination - “The party of ‘No Kings’ simply anointed a queen.”

Kennedy said Charlie Kirk played a critical role in bringing President Trump and him together, based on their common values.

“President Trump has kept every single promise he made to me, without exception.”

On Trump - “I am so grateful to God for giving our country a leader like this.” 🇺🇸

He highlighted Texas’ leadership in areas like election integrity, school choice, border security, and conservative tax policies. He then highlighted the stark differences between Republican and Democrat policies; pointing out that the November 3rd election is a simple choice between common sense and communism. 🇺🇸

At the Republican Midterm Convention, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson just clearly defined the contrast between Republican common sense policies and Democrat extremism:

“In this election, it now falls to us to preserve the country we love.”

During his stirring address this afternoon at the 2026 Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas, Texas Lt Governor Dan Patrick boldly proclaimed:

“The upcoming November election is a battle between good and evil!”.

And when you look at the stark differences between the Republican and Democrat candidates up and down the ballot, we absolutely agree with Lt Dan. 🇺🇸
