We are looking for a local woodworker or artisan to create new tables and seating at the Granby Train Station!

As part of Colorado's 150th anniversary updates, we are looking for a talented creator to design and build custom, one-of-a-kind furnishings for the Granby Train Station interior!

We want to transform the center of the station from an empty space into a functional landmark. Instead of standard furniture, we are looking for works of art—either a set of common tables and seating or a series of benches—that draw inspiration from Granby’s historical, agricultural, or railroad roots.

Here are the quick details:
Project Budget: Up to $15,000 total
Location: Granby Train Station, Granby, CO
Submission Deadline: June 14, 2026
Ex*****on: Late summer / early fall 2026

What we are looking for:
Pieces must be tough, sturdy, and safe enough for a busy public transit environment. Think high-quality, commercial-grade materials like steel or heavy wood that can handle daily use, frequent cleaning, and modern travelers, while still feeling like a piece of history.

How to Apply:
Please email a brief proposal (PDF preferred) to [email protected] by June 14, 2026, including:
Artist Info: Name, Grand County address, phone, and email.
Experience: A summary of your furniture-building experience + 5 photos of past work.
Project Approach: Your vision for the design and how it fits the historical theme.
Timeline: Confirmation that you can complete the work by early fall 2026.
Budget: A brief breakdown of labor vs. materials.

Note: See the official listing for all the details including station dimensions and photos. www.granbyart.com/artists

Here's your new mural, Granby! We hope you love it as much as we do! Thank you to artist James Overstreet for tackling this massive 276-foot canvas and bringing such beauty to Main Street!

This stunning wall is more than just a mural—it will also serve as a dramatic background for our rotating art installations created annually at Art in the Park. Get ready, because the birds from this year's event are currently getting their protective top coat and will be installed on the mural soon.

The Granby Public Art Committee would like to thank the community for your support of the arts and making projects like this possible—we hope you enjoy this colorful addition to Granby.

Something BIG is happening on Main Street. Artists James Overstreet and Kevin Phillips are working on a massive, 276-foot mural on the "long wall." This colorful mountain scene will not only be a vibrant addition to Granby, but will also serve as a backdrop for the art installations created at Art in the Park each year. Stop by to see their progress, or just give a friendly wave as you drive past!
