Grand Fire is excited to put our new battery-powered extrication tools into service this week, thanks to Colorado Holmatro.

These mobile units allow our crews to reach trapped victims faster, operate longer on scene, and ultimately help us to deliver quicker, more effective rescues when every second counts. 💪🚒

Recently Chief White traveled to our nation's capital, Washington, D.C., where he joined fellow fire service leaders from across Colorado to meet with legislators and advocate on behalf of our communities.

Discussions focused on critical priorities including support for the fire service, wildland fire needs, EMS funding, fire grant programs, and firefighter health and safety.

These efforts help ensure our department - and others like it - have the resources, staffing, and protections needed to continue serving safely and effectively.

We appreciate Chief White's leadership and commitment to representing both our agency and the fire service at the national level.
