Time passes. 1st photo is from May 2022 and 2nd photo from Dec. 2025 on the same path, same child. We've made alot of progress and we still have a lot to do this Spring. Volunteer to help. We appreciate you.

The picnic area is set and ready for use. Citizens For A Better Grand Bay manages the park and its free to use. Please take your trash. If you want to help us keep the park maintained and help us continue to expand the facilities, please feel free to donate though our PayPal account at [email protected].

Thank you to Danny Long, Dixie Dixon Long and Janelle and Hamilton Boudreaux for assembling the picnic table at the Park.
The picnic table was donated by the Grand Bay AA members and the Daniel Foundation.
Park benches and picnic table are available for your use. Please take your garbage and leave only footprints on the paths.

Thanks to $15,000 grant from Daniel Foundation of Alabama, Grand Bay's Old Town Park next to Harper Orchards pecan shop and the Grand Bay Library is getting more equipment, walkways and lights. Come visit. The camellias are starting to bloom and park benches are ready for your enjoyment. Picnic tables coming soon.

WE ARE REALLY CLOSE to having the park open with benches and tables and two great walking paths. Some of you had expressed interest in purchasing a memorial bench. If you would like to do so please PM Aleta Trovaioli Boudreaux. The cost for these benches are listed on the images. We can arrange for plaques to be attached for an extra cost $30 up depending on the wording.

🌳 Big Day at Old Town Park! 🌳

Huge thanks to Forward Church for stepping up today to help beautify the park! 🙌 Check the shared post for photos of their hard work.

We also had Mulch It clearing out undergrowth to help us move forward with the park’s master plan.

📍 Did you know Old Town Park spans three areas? Check out the comment for a map of the areas.

1️⃣ Wooded area by the library – towering magnolias, camellias, trails, future pavilion, and hopefully a Rainbow Bridge Memorial for pets.
2️⃣ Depot platform & Old Town Green – across the street, with crepe myrtles, old sidewalks, and a future water fountain and flower garden.
3️⃣ Open lawn across Potter Tract – future garden space and parking for community events.

🧹 How to Help
• Pick up litter, if you feel led to help, please grab a bucket/bag and pick up. It's needed NOW, especially in the wooded area next to Harper's Pecans.
• Come to the next Citizens For A Better Grand Bay meeting on Monday, July 21st, 6–7:30 PM at the Grand Bay Community Center to get involved.
