Grand Forks Fire Department Offer Help to
Prevent outdoor Grilling fires!

As we prepare for Memorial Day 2020, the members of GFFD would like you to have a fun, yet safe holiday. While doing so, it's important to remember the following safety tips when grilling at home:

Grills are to be used only outdoors, away from siding and deck railings.
You should clean grills often and remove grease or fat build-up.
Make sure your gas grill lid is open before lighting.
Have a 3-foot safe-zone around grills and keep kids and pets away from the area.
Dispose of charcoal after they have cooled in a metal can.
Never leave grills, fire pits and patio torches unattended.
