Service Update 🎉 Starting on July 1st, Harbor Transit will be able to transport riders to and from the Fillmore Campus in West Olive.

Please note that due to an unforeseen delay in updating Harbor Transit’s Lakeshore Go app, riders will need to call 616-842-3200 to schedule rides to and from the Fillmore Campus until further notice. We’ll share an update as soon as the app is updated with this new service extension point.

Celebrating America’s 250th through civic education! We welcomed youth from the Juvenile Justice Institute for a day of learning about American history, democracy, and our courts, including a courtroom tour and Q&A with Ottawa County Judges Kraus & Engle and Supreme Court Justice Welch. An inspiring opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with our justice system.

Service Update: Starting July 1, 2026, Harbor Transit will offer rides to and from the Fillmore Campus in West Olive, improving access to government services including the Family Justice Center, clerk’s office, Veterans Services, the Juvenile Detention Center, and many more departments.

This two-year pilot program begins on July 1, 2026, and all rides to and from the Fillmore Campus will be free through December 31, 2026.

“Prior to this service extension, residents needing to travel to the Fillmore Campus for critical appointments had no access to public transportation, creating a significant barrier for individuals without reliable personal transportation,” shares Scott Borg, Executive Director at Harbor Transit.“ This extension ensures that all residents have the opportunity to utilize public transit services to access essential appointments and reach their destinations safely and reliably.”
