The Hall County Department of Corrections is now live on the Nebraska Victims of Crime Alert Portal (NEVCAP). NEVCAP allows victims of crime, and other concerned citizens to access timely and reliable information about offenders in Nebraska jails and prisons. NEVCAP provides English and Spanish support for alerts (via both text and email) on offender’s custody status. The system also provides access to victim services resources.

Recently, the Victim Assistance Program moved offices within the Law Enforcement Center. We now have our own entrance as well as parking to make access easier and more convenient for victims. If you have been a victim of a crime, have questions about a case and would like to speak with an advocate, please contact us at (308) 385-5409 to make an appointment.

The Grand Island Police Department & Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 24 are gearing up for their annual Santa Cop program. Santa Cop identifies families in need around the holiday season & provides much needed items to the entire family. Santa Cop is a family oriented program with officers & their families helping to shop, wrap, & deliver presents to these deserving individuals. This program is made possible through community donations. Please consider making a donation (monetary or otherwise) towards the 2025 Santa Cop program, 100% of donations go towards the families.
