Late Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday morning, there is a
chance for thunderstorms across much of the outlook area,
including the possibility for our first few severe storms of the
year. The majority of the outlook area is currently under a
Marginal Risk of severe storms, with a Slight Risk of severe
storms clipping far southeast portions of our area, within and
near Thayer County Nebraska.

Although still subject to some uncertainty in location and timing,
the initial threat for possible severe storms Wednesday currently
appears to focus mainly within 40 miles either side of the
Nebraska-Kansas border, between 5 and 10 PM. The primary threats
with any severe storms currently appear to be large hail and/or
damaging winds.
